There are numerous loose photos as well as three albums covering WWII service on the USS ENCELADUS, a post-war 20,000 mile cruise on the KUKUI , and - my favorite - and early 1950's Arctic cruise on the USCGC EASTWIND . Some of the photos are labeled on the back:





This is from the album for the USS ENCELADUS, a small US Navy freighter that was manned by an all-Coast Guard crew as it made the rounds of the South Pacific in WWII. Some of the photos were taken before the ship left Florida and there are couple of his family photos as well. Just a few pages are shown here:







This autograph book was signed by many of his WWII shipmates including Marine guard Clifton W Moore who was wounded in WWII and ended up serving in the Marines through Vietnam::
